Alzheimer's or dementia care

Our support worker provides a Person-centered Approach where dementia care is tailored to the individual’s unique needs, preferences, and abilities. It recognizes that each person’s experience with Alzheimer’s and related disorders is different.

We understand that creating a safe and dementia-friendly environment is crucial to prevent accidents and reduce confusion. This may include a clutter-free space and memory care home modifications.

Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, bathing, grooming, and eating may be necessary as dementia progresses. Our specialized dementia caregivers provide compassionate personal care.

We assist in Cognitive Stimulation by engaging in activities that stimulate brain functionmemory recall, and social interaction to help slow the progression of cognitive decline. Our emphasis is on redirection techniquesverbal cueing, and following a structured daily routine.

Emotional Support and Behavioral Management: Individuals with dementia may experience mood swings and behavioral challenges. Our trained caregivers provide emotional support and use evidence-based dementia care strategies.
